When you win, you'll fly to perform at one of the world's biggest dance music experiences.

Your Shot was the launchpad for my DJ journey and the moment I realised this could become a real career. It gave me the confidence and skill set to step behind the decks and back myself. The funny thing is, I didn’t even win Your Shot, but learning the craft was all I needed. Since then I’ve been lucky enough to DJ locally, across Australia and internationally, playing clubs, festivals and events while building my brand as The David. It’s wild to look back and see how something that started there turned into a career doing what I genuinely love. The next chapter is music production collaborating with producers and releasing my own tracks, with a few unreleased records already lined up to drop this year.

What do I need to be available for if selected?
You must attend:
1. Selection Day
2. Weekly training sessions
3. Four weeknight meetings
4. Your city’s Event Weekend
Attendance is 100% mandatory - missing key parts of the program may result in removal from the competition.
What does the training involve?
Each week, you’ll take part in:
● A 3-hour in-person training session, per week, for 5 weeks
● Guided tutorials to teach you core DJ skills
● Practice sessions, feedback, and support to build your first live set
By the end of five weeks, you’ll be confident and ready to perform in front of a crowd.
I made a mistake on my registration form - what now?
If it’s a major error (like your email or phone number), feel free to register again.
Otherwise, just let us know at Selection Day and we’ll fix it for you.
I don't live in a participating city - can I still apply?
Yes! If Your Shot isn’t in your city yet, your details will be saved and you’ll be the first to know when we expand.
